Developing Resilient Families
Life can be stressful at times. Some families may experience more hardship and trauma than others. Resilience is the ability to adapt, bounce back, and even be strengthened in adversity. Being resilient doesn’t happen by itself. Parents can build resilience and model it to their children. This class will help parents understand how to grow parental resilience and teach this to their growing children. Children will need to build up their tolerance to disruptions. We will explore some examples of trauma, tragedy, and stress and how we can handle them better.
Question: What are some challenges your family has experienced? This is confidential and will help guide the class.
