Individual Therapy for Parents and Caregivers
At the Child Parent Institute, we understand that addressing parents' therapy needs is essential to the wellness of the family as a whole.
Childhood trauma can have a huge impact on our adult lives - left unprocessed, it can shape who we become as parents. Parenting children of all ages is both joyful and challenging, and bringing our best self to this role can be hard. Whether you are finding that your own childhood and early adult experiences are impacting your parenting, or you need support managing daily stressors - CPI is here to help.
Our therapists are trained and experienced at providing person-centered therapy based on the individual’s specific needs. We understand that you are not just an individual seeking therapy services, you are a parent. Because our therapists have experience working with children, they can bring a unique perspective to their work with you that acknowledges this important role you hold.
Parents, family members, or caregivers are welcome to call for an appointment themselves, or CPI takes referrals from physicians and any public or private agency.
To contact our Intake Specialist, please call (707) 284-1500, or fill out an online appointment request form and our intake coordinator will reach out to you.
