Protective Factors for Strong Families
This three-part workshop will present the benefits of Protective Factors for families. These factors may buffer the effect of risk exposure and help individuals and families navigate difficult family circumstances and fair better in school, work, and life. A self-assessment will be conducted as a group during the class to asses our Protective Factors and build upon that. In this class, we will provide local resources that may be helpful for families to strengthen these protective factors. What are some Risk Factors in your family? (Divorce, substance abuse, single parent, diagnosis, health issues, domestic violence etc.) This will help to provide details related to the participating parents.
