Protective Factors for Strong Families
This class will present the benefits of protective factors for families. These factors may buffer the effect of risk exposure and help individuals and families navigate difficult family circumstances and fare better in school, work, and life. A self-assessment will be conducted as a group during the class to asses our Protective Factors and build upon that. In this class, we will provide local resources that may be helpful for families to strengthen these protective factors.
What are some risk factors in your family? Some examples may include divorce or separation, substance abuse, single parent, autism or similar diagnosis, health issues, domestic violence, etc.
