In this webinar, Dr. Jonah Stewart from Coalition for Responsible Home Education will present research and recommendations on the unique risks that abused homeschooled children face. The presentation will include red flags, risk factors, and patterns of abuse associated with abusive homeschool environments, with a special focus on child sexual abuse. Also included will be discussion on policy and procedural gaps, along with potential interventions.
Learning Objectives: By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to • Understand themes in the abuse of homeschooled children, particularly sexual abuse • Recognize red flags suggestive of abuse in homeschool settings • Identify gaps in policy and procedure that contribute to abuse going undetected.
