Deborah Burg-Schnirman, LCSW

Deborah Burg-Schnirman holds a master’s degree in social work from University of Southern California, was awarded an honorary doctorate in Jewish non-profit management, and holds teaching and administrative credentials with an early childhood emphasis.  She is a Napa Infant-Parent Mental Health Fellow.  After directing programs for children, youth and families for 25 years, Deborah now coordinates the Perinatal Mood Disorders (PMD) program at CPI and provides maternal, dyadic and family psychotherapy for 0-5 clients in the CPI counseling clinic.  She also consults to non-profit and educational programs.  Deborah’s passion lays at the intersection of early childhood education and infant-parent-maternal mental health as well as reflective practice supporting maternal mental health and foundational dyadic relationships.  When she is not working, you can find her in her organic garden with the cats and chickens, cooking from the garden, or on the trails out in nature.  

Deborah is currently accepting CPI clients ages 0-5, as well as new parents and parents-to-be.
