Parenting “gifted” children can be wonderfully rewarding. It can also be challenging, frustrating and exhausting! This six part series guided discussion group will offer a forum for exchanging information about nurturing our sensitive, intense, creative, and insatiably curious children. Topics will include meeting social/emotional needs, peer relationships, perfectionism, motivation, underachievement, self-regulation, executive function skills, depression, twice exceptional children (gifted plus other issues), stress, idealism, existential angst, frustration tolerance, advocacy, imposter syndrome, and nurturing ourselves too! These classes will be based loosely upon the national SENG (Supporting Emotional Needs of the Gifted) parent group model. Please join us for good company, support, and lively discussion.
