The Drama Spectrum: Theatre for Everyone
The Drama Spectrum is a new and exciting inclusive performing arts program that provides opportunities for children, youth, and young adults of varying abilities to explore theatre and music in a safe and encouraging environment. Each group creates original performance pieces with acting and music, to be presented in a showcase for an audience of family, friends, and the community. This is a great chance for anyone interested in learning more about performing, music, designing, or writing, who may not yet have a creative home to nurture their unique gifts. Through performance, we'll build social and emotional skills, self-expression, and self-esteem. Using a strengths-based approach, we welcome all skill levels in this supportive environment.
The Drama Spectrum is a great fit for many young people on the autism spectrum, or those with similar social, emotional, or learning challenges. The group experience is ideally suited for students with verbal abilities and some memorization skills.
10 Tuesdays, March 14 - May 16
Sessions are held at Child Parent Institute, 3650 Standish Avenue, Santa Rosa, CA 95407.
